What is the suggested donation amount?If everyone in our class donates $30 by June 2011, we will be able to establish our scholarship with the Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation and start distributing scholarships in the Spring of 2012.
Will my donation be matched?Yes. Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation will match 50% of all donations to the scholarship. This match is valid through August 2012, and Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation will provide the scholarship with up to $10,000 in matching funds. You may also inquire with your current employer regarding any employee matching programs. Is my donation tax deductible?Yes. All donations towards our scholarship with Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation are 100% tax deductible. After Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation processes your donation, you will receive a donation letter in the mail confirming the amount of your donation.
When will the first scholarship be distributed?If we raise $20,000 by our 10-year reunion in 2011, the first scholarship will be distributed in the spring of 2012.
