About the Scholarship

According to statistics from the Hawai`i State Department of Health, Native Hawaiians suffer from the lowest college attainment level compared with all ethnicities measured in Hawai`i.  Kamehameha Schools aims to help school-age Native Hawaiians achieve educational opportunities but reaches only 7% of them through its schools and financial aid.

In an effort to extend the school's educational mission, Kamehameha Schools organized the Ke Ali`i Pauahi Foundation which provides post-high school scholarships to Native Hawaiians.  The Kamehameha Schools Class of 2001 Scholarship is a fund created under the foundation.
